What you will be doing:

Behind the red and black curtains, our tech ninjas are trained to operate stage, sound, and lighting equipment, as well as organise and shush cast during show nights in September, to make the fantastical onstage magic a reality. Our teams learn how to carry large set pieces into position in pitch black with an audience mere feet away, no curtain separating… and barely a whisper is heard from their rubber soles on the creaky stage. No prior experience or knowledge is required, but attendance at barn workshops in Trimester 3 is required to progress into stage tech.

Skills you will learn:

Teamwork, creativity, communication and logistics. Also you learn to use power tools and tie cables!

Commitment times / peak hours:

Several days during the weekends for barn workshops in weeks 1-6, trimester 3 (September 16 – October 27), three specific nights during the semester and one or two dress circle-specific meetings.

Every day during the evening in Week 7 which is our show week (October 28 – November 2) – our time to shine! But shining takes polish, so expect a lot of effort in this time period.
